Fourth set of Extra's for the Tiger 1050
Small Tank Bag
I hate large tank bags, sometimes I attach a small camera
bag to the fuel tank with magnets. This bag is just big enough
for my Wallet, Keys, Phone and some loose change.
TIP: I stuck some clear film on to the Tank to prevent the bag
scratching the paint.
Suzuki Bar End Mounts
I get some vibration through the handlebars. I think it
is caused by either the Motrax Crash Bars or the
Hand Guards. To counteract the vibration I have fitted
bar end weights from a Suzuki GSXR 1000 machined
from solid stainless. The extra weight from a solid
lump of stainless does help reduce Vibration.
TIP: You really need a lathe to trim the GSXR weights
to shorten the boss that fits inside the handlebar.
Left Suzuki 190grams Right Triumph 114 grams
I fitted a Triumph 12v auxiliary power socket. With
the Tank removed I found the 12v connecting plug
taped up near the injectors. I removed the tape then
simply plugged the connector into the accessory
plug and bolted it to the mounting hole on the frame.
It only took a couple of minutes to fit which is good, it
took me a whole year to get around to this job which
is bad!.
Sometimes I want to listen to a radio on the
move so I use a Sony Radio SRF-M37L. The
Sony is surprisingly water resistant. Battery life
is an amazing 20 hours from one AAA battery.
To my knowledge no one supplies an RDS
equipped radio suitable for a bike except Honda
who have a part for the Pan European at £500+.
Ouch!
I attach the little Sony to the fuel cap with Velcro
and tune in the main BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2
presets (In the UK every 30 miles the channel
frequency changes on FM)
