I have ridden 4 tracks on my Tiger 1050 and it
is absolutely brilliant. The Tiger 1050 is
surprisingly competitive and I am now able to
scrape the footpegs on both sides. I
recommend my Dunlop Roadsmart Tyres,
fantastic rubber.
Rockingham National is a wonderful circuit.
Donnington Park is even better, very technical
and it takes a long time to dial in a perfect lap.
Brands Hatch Indy circuit is also superb. At
Brands I was lapping Ducati 748's,
GSXR750's, Daytona 955i's and various 600's
several times in a 20 minute session. The
really quick riders were lapping me.
The Tiger only struggled on the straights where
tuned one litre bikes zoom past. In the corners
I can keep up with riders sliding their knees on
the ground (my style is more conventional).
I have really enjoyed taking the Tiger to race
tracks. Everyone says how surprised they are
with the ability of the bike. And the Triple wail is
so much better than a four cylinder.
