Helmet - HJC CL-XS

This HJC helmet is similar to the Aria Tour X3 except is costs a quarter of the
price at £100.  I commute to work heading East into the sun in the morning
and home into the sun in the evening.  Having a peak makes it so much
easier to see safely.  The peak casts a shadow on the outside of the visor
and completely removes the glare.  The HJC is a little noisy but hey for this
price an excellent buy.  (Note I added the reflective stickers).
Triumph Tiger Cub T Shirt from eBay £8.99p
There are plenty of really good Tiger theme T Shirts
available from T-Shirt-World.co.uk for around £16.99p
Helmet -Schuberth S1

I have owned the SI for 5 years.  It is very quiet and is great for long distance
touring.  A very good quality helmet that is worth every penny.  The only
downside is that the visor mists up easily because the helmet seals so
effectively round my neck so I have to use Fog Off or similar all the time.

This helmet started life black and I resprayed it white, see my page on
helmet paint.
Boots
About 7 years ago I had some Altberg boots made to measure,
shown (left).  The cost was around £130.  Altberg are based in
Catterick, UK.  They measure you up and you have to wait up to 5
months. The result is a hand crafted bespoke leather boot, totally
waterproof and very comfortable for long days in the saddle -
Quality!

On the right is a Triumph Sympatec boot,  I bought these as
seconds for £20 at the BMF Rally.  They leak like a sieve but they
are excellent in every other respect.  They offer more protection than
the Altberg's for track days however I can't tour in them due to lack
of water proofing.  Personally I hate the plasticy Alpinestar type of
boot that are now on sale everywhere.
My Gloves:

Hein Gericke "Spock" style rain gloves left,
only waterproof for 2 hours, easy to put on
with damp hands and very warm on cold
days
.
Triumph waterproof winter gloves
in the
centre.  Not very waterproof but they are warm
on milder days, near impossible to put on
with damp hands.
My Triumph leather "Terminator" style
gloves,
the best leather glove I've ever
owned.  £50 at the BMF as seconds, I own 2
pairs and there are great.
