2012 should be a big year as I plan a return trip overland from the UK to Turkey in May with my friend Mark on his GS1200
Adventure.  I fancy doing a couple of track days and maybe a Wheelie School.
I had a track day at Snetterton on 18th April.  The outbound Ferry Tickets for my trip to turkey are booked Harwich to Hook
of Holland 5th May.  The route below from the UK to Turkey was planned using Garmin Mapsource.  Out in purple and
back in green with no Motorways apart from Holland.  The route still needs plenty more detailed work.  I plan to take in
Troy, Olympia, Pompeii, Florence, Lake Garda, the Dolomites, Liechtenstein, Black Forest, the Somme and anything else
I can fit in.
I have a new friend named Trifonas who lives near Dimitsana in southern Greece, He rides a Tiger and through these
pages he has offered to meet up with me and ride through the Greek Mountains together. I can then stay at his Trekking /
White Water rafting place which sounds great.

In Wales with the BTBC only 4 of us dared to cross the flooded causeway to Shell island, about 200 yards in 6 inches of
fast flowing water.  Naturally my Tiger was one of them.  Mark's GS1200 Adventure conked out on the way back (RAC took
4 hours to fix).  At least I know that my Triumph Adventure boots are 100% waterproof and of course the Tiger 1050 is also
waterproof, Triumph owners would expect nothing less.
I was on gate duty so I parked up to ensure everyone went through the
deep muddy puddle.  Barmouth is in the background.
